I hadn't time to follow all the recent developments in Linux/IrDA. Therefore this document still needs a major rewrite, which I intend to do, when the Linux/IrDA source is included into the upcomming stable 2.4.x kernel. So you have to expect that some things described below don't work anymore or in another way. I hope this document may point you in the right direction though.
